New Laptop

It’s been quit awhile since my last blog post.  One of the reasons I stopped posting is because the hard drive on my primary laptop died.  I had another laptop that I started using but it is old, heavy, low on hard drive space, and low on ram.  I added some ram, but not much because it would only take a little (remember it is old).  I freed up some hard drive space, but it only has a 60 gig hard drive (Did I mention that it is OLD?).  Regardless of any improvements I made, my old laptop really isn’t up to dealing with my graphics programs without a great deal of effort.
So what did I do to deal with this?  I started just relaxing and reading books and stories online.  That is the really nice part about being retired and having a Zazzle account, you don’t have to do much if you don’t want to.  I didn’t want to do much, so I didn’t.

To be honest, my idea of getting something done is to get myself up and out of the house and go out to eat at Old Country Buffet.  I have become part of the retired weekday lunch group.  I’ve started making friends there, we all have liking to come to the Old Country Buffet in common so we have a starting place for a friendship.

This week I finally bit the bullet and got a new (Refurbished) laptop.  It’s a HP beat audio special edition.  It’s fast with lots of hard drive space and it came with 6 gigs of RAM with a max of 16 gigs.  I’m now working on getting it all setup with my graphics programs, login info, and all my graphics from my external hard drive.

This is my first windows 7 PC and I’m not sure I like it, but I will get use to it in time.  Once I’m all setup and comfortable with the new interface I will work on producing more Zazzle designs.  The have so many new products and changes to the site that it will take a while to get use to Zazzle too.
